These vehicles will collect up to 1000 trolleys a day, depending on the store, from carpark collection bays and surrounding streets (when trolleys have strayed a little further from stores). The transition from petrol or diesel trucks to electric ones will have a meaningful impact and help reduce transport emissions.

These custom-built vehicles were developed and manufactured locally in Western Sydney by ACE-EV Group (Australian Clean Energy Electric Vehicle Group). They were designed specifically for our team’s needs, with lower tray heights to make it easier for our team to load and unload trolleys.

“We were inspired by the innovative technologies we saw from Gregory McGarvie and his team at ACE EV Group, and jumped at the opportunity to collaborate on a new trolley collection solution,” says Facilities Director at Woolworths 360, Jane Frewen.

We’re proud to work with local businesses on these innovative solutions to create a greener tomorrow. These nine new electric vehicles join a fleet of six already on the road. We look forward to continuing to grow this partnership with ACE EV Group.
